Titan Sandwell

Titan Sandwell was built in 2004 to satisfy a rather strange desire to see how steep a spiral could be created in Gn15 - G scale on OO track, representing 15" narrow gauge.

The answer was very steep, about 1 in 14 in places, but just about workable using locos based on small Hornby and Jouef chassis.

The name was derived from the acuteness of the bends and the method of applying texture to the scenery.

The layout was shown at the 2004 Southport exhibition and also a  West Lancashire Light Railway, before being decommissioned on moving house.
